I'm not a superstitious person,
but when Mr. Snowy Egret appeared on the front lawn, poking his head above the floral features,
I knew he was letting me know that it's going to be a good weekend.
I'm going to believe him.
Have a breathtaking weekend.
Let's meet back here Monday, shall we, and see what sewing plans everyone has for the week.
What an amazing picture you captured! We will enjoy our weekend- football practice, church, and my nephew's first birthday party.
ReplyDeleteThat is an incredible picture!!! do you see those kinds of birds often where you live?
ReplyDeletePalak--yes! He (she?) usually lives in the pond across the street, so it was a treat to see him taking a stroll, admiring the flowers ;)
ReplyDeleteWow! Quite a bird!
ReplyDeleteso cool!
ReplyDeleteI just have to tell you how much I enjoy your blog! Even though I don't know you, I feel like I have a lot in common with you! I love to sew (although I don't do it nearly as often as you do, sadly!), I'm LDS as well, AND I live in Florida, too! (Naples) I'm a native of Utah, but have fallen in love with Florida's birds. They're amazing, don't you think? And Egrets are probably my all-time favorites (although--forgive me--but I think the Snowy has yellow feet, so your gorgeous photo must be a Great Egret. Oh, so beautiful!) And I know what you mean about thinking it must be a great weekend after sighting a special bird or animal. I promise I'm not superstitious, either, but I couldn't help feeling lucky after seeing a mother and baby dolphin swimming incredibly close to the shore over the weekend. It was a beautiful day indeed...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, thank you for all your inspiring posts! You seem like an amazing woman and mother. ;-)
Stephanie--ah. Thank you for the correction! I didn't know an egret's legs were so revealing ;) Good to know. I do have such incredibly smart readers. And I do love when I see a little pod of dolphins swimming along the shoreline. :)
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog and fell in love with your blog name haha.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to follow but I don't see an email subscription?
