I think we may need a bigger treehouse. Or perhaps it's just right, nice and cozy, where everyone is touching at least 2 other people, or more, if that person's name happens to be momma. I put Drummer to bed, Ryan whipped up a big plate of chocolate pancakes to be eaten without fork OR plate, and we shooed the baby dills up the tree with pillow and blanket where a movie projected on a pillowcase was waiting for them: Treehouse Movie Night.
We needed provisions, of course: I prepared popcorn cones, just cut up paper bags and taped, mini water bottles, and theater candy boxes. There was some disagreement about the movie choice, but I wanted a movie from a book, so we settled on Babar the Elephant, with promises of more treehouse movie nights down the road.
It was an evening of absolute perfection. The kids kept asking what the pillow case was for, anticipating something exciting. And it was.
The night was actually refreshingly cool with more of a breeze being up so high, and I was worried it would blow the pillowcase too much, but the movement made the movie kind of 3D :)
The 3M projector is SUPER easy to use. All you do is plug it into your device (works with ipod touch 3rd, 4th generation, all ipads, iphones with the cable it comes with--you can also use it with your computer with an additional cable.) You control the movie with your device, with just the volume controls on the projector.
Although it we used ours relatively close proximity, you can project an image of up to 80" diameter (perfect if you have an outside wall you want to use for big gatherings). Ryan and I watched some youtube on the ceiling when I was first testing it out.
To sum up the 3M Mobile Projector:
✪ It's small and very portable. There aren't any big clunky things you have to wrestle with. You could take it with you, and use your apple device to show a movie to the masses anywhere--always ready for entertainment!
✪ Battery charge lasts--I've only charge it once and we've watched several things on it without it needing to be charged again.
✪ Simple! It was so easy to use, just plug it in and you're set.
✪ My favorite and best feature of all: it's just plain fun. It reminded me of the old drive-in movies I would go to when I was younger, being outside, snuggled up together! The girls all thanked us for the fun movie night when it was over instead of whining that they had to go to bed. Like I said, the best.
The only drawback we found was the volume. Being inside and close to the projector, it wasn't a problem (plus the kids were in bed ;), but outside, the sound was muffled by the wind and leaves blowing, so we would use plug-in speakers next time for better sound.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed it, as did the parents who climbed up for the last portion of the movie to snuggle with sleepy girls.
We're already planning our next treehouse movie night.

We do movie night snuggled on the couch with the lights off. Thanks for the opportunity to win.=)
ReplyDeleteIt's just my husband and I (at least for another few weeks), so we do our movie nights snuggled up in bed. I'm usually asleep before the opening sequence is over.
ReplyDeleteMost of the people in our family are adults, and family movie nights are rare these days. But our family movie night usually involves either kettle corn or popcorn with plain M&Ms, and cuddling a sleepy four-year-old while her baby sister sleeps in the next room. It's usually whatever movie has caught her interest this month--last time it was the new Muppet movie. Movie nights become Bit's "night night show" and end when one of the boys carries a sleeping Bit into my room and puts her to bed in the Train toddler bed.
ReplyDeleteOur family movie nights are spent curled up on a huge Love Sac in front of the TV, with lots of popcorn of course. It takes a lot of muscle to move the Love Sac into the Family room, and of course it remains there for a few days after, but it's totally worth the snuggles :)
ReplyDeleteWe have no TV hookup or channels so when we watch TV it is only with movies. In our family, every Friday night is pizza and a movie night.
ReplyDeleteI love that the kids aren't in front of the TV all the time and they love the tradition and eagerly wait for Fridays to get here. It has been great.
I would *LOVE* to add a projecter to our entourage- all the gorgeousness of outdoor movies on Pinterest has me salivating.
This is an awesome idea (and projector)! We do Friday night movie night every Friday. It always involves popcorn (of course) and the kids usually pick the same movies over and over. I can't tell you the number of times I've seen Wall-E.
ReplyDeleteIt is so funny that this post came up today! My hubby and I were just talking about starting movie nights soon (my kids are 2 and 4 so bedtime is a little early) and buying a projector to do it outside. We have two trees fairly close and we were going to try and hang a bedsheet in between.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea...I've not seen this projector before. Our movie night always consist of lots of popcorn sitting in our family room.
ReplyDeleteVery fun. I live all summer at the family beach house with all my nieces and nephews. We throw blankets and pillows all over the floor, pop popcorn, eat ice cream, and watch movies at least once a week. We all cuddle on the floors and just hang out. It is a great time. This projector would be so fun for movies on the beach.
ReplyDeleteWe do movie night with a netflix and homemade popcorn!

Saturday nights cuddled in a pile of bean bag chairs!
ReplyDeletethis is the coolest thing ever! I just saw it over at Liz & Elizabeth's site too - love it!
ReplyDeleteI love that you did it outdoors in the treehouse, I think we would have to have drive up movies in our backyard - would be very cool with big cardboard cars for the kids to sit in. Or at the very least, Big Wheels....ha!
My husband has been dreaming of a projector for at least 7 years! This would be fantastic!
ReplyDeleteWe bring a tablecloth into the the family room and let the kids drink soda and eat popcorn and hot tomales. Because of the tablecloth the mess is containted and easily cleaned and the kids get a kick out of eating in front of the TV
ReplyDeleteMovie night always includes a quilt for cuddling a boy and a girl. Even if it's 90 degrees outside!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I love this idea! How neat! We have only watched a couple of movies with my 2.5 year old, and it's been on the couch snuggled between mama and papa. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSince our kiddies are still little, we're pretty simple. Popcorn and a Pixar flick suit us just fine! :)
ReplyDeleteJust all 5 of us scattered around the living room. I would live this cute little projector to do a movie camp-out.
ReplyDeleteLooks fun! Movie night here is rare, but usually adults on the couch, kids on the floor with popcorn.
ReplyDeleteWe bring our favorite blankets into the family room, make popcorn and settle down on the couch or floor for the film. Usually we are all asleep by the end of the film and since we are all tucked in, we just stay downstairs to sleep.
ReplyDelete-M
This is so cool!! We could have a blast with this watching movies on our patio!! Right now movie night is more like movie afternoon. Since my son is 3 we don't get to watch movies as a family at night yet. usually him and i cuddle for a while and then i sneak away to get something done while he is watching with my husband. But hubby and I are huge into movies and have movie night every chance we get. We have seen over 1,000 movies together. It's our favorite thing and we can't wait to include our son at night, when he is older :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to have an outdoor movie night!!
ReplyDeleteWe have movie night every Friday night. The whole family onthe couch. How fun to do it in the tree house. . .
ReplyDeleteThis is great! so inspiring!! We have been talking a lot about tree houses recently and have decided to plan this summer and make it happen next! can't wait. I never thought of doing movie night in the treehouse! I call a movie night when everyone is tired and needs a break from work or play! anopportunity to veg out. we all cuddle on the couch with popcorn or ice cream and watch a movie. This is a treat as we do not have TV or really include sugar in our diet....
ReplyDeleteWe haven't done a family movie night as my oldest is only 2.5. Aa a non-TV family, I look forward to making it a specialtactility with snacks and snuggling.
ReplyDeletehi
ReplyDeleteJust posted about this great giveaway on twitter. thanks for the chance to win!

we do family movie nights cuddled up on the couch, but this looks like way more fun!
ReplyDeleteOur movie night is on Sundays. We had found ourselves eating out just too often, so we've restricted ourselves to Sunday nights - we take turns picking the restaurant, then Daddy goes and picks up food while I get our movie room all set up. The kids eat on a blanket on the floor, but as soon as Daddy and I are finished eating, they finish their dinners on our laps. We usually watch about half of a movie on a movie night (our bedtime here is still 7:00), and then have the anticipation of finishing it all week! We try to watch "older kid" movies, because there's a lot of animation all week long. :)

ReplyDeleteSo very cool- I had no idea anything like this existed!
ReplyDeleteMy boys are older and bigger so doing a movie night that we all agree on is VERY hard.
I could see using this at knit night or on girls weekends when we are all sitting around knitting at remote locations.
I have four daughters (until 3 weeks from now when we welcome home little brother!) We have been doing Friday night pajama parties for years now and I love it. Everyone in pj's, a movie on the TV and dinner and snacks on blankets. Sometimes we shake it up by putting up a tent or blowing up an air mattress.
ReplyDeleteIt's a family favorite tradition!
We curl up on the bed in the cupola and watch with the lights out - very cozy! Thanks for the chance
ReplyDeleteHomemade popcorn with herb butter and a pint of ice cream with lots of spoons!
ReplyDeleteMovie night is in PJs, on the couch, with an afghan.
ReplyDeleteI do "family" movie nights with friends on a regular basis. We love to watch bad, B level movies that cause lots of laughter. One of our favorites is Troll 2 - which would be awesome to watch up the canyon, using this great projector!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool projector! Thanks for sharing...I added it to my amazon wish list : ). We do family movie night by projecting a movie on a big screen we got from an elementary school that was remodeling. This mobile projector looks just right for kids and so much fun! Too bad the tree house isn't included in the giveaway - amazing! : )
ReplyDeleteI hadn't even heard of that projector before..very very neat. Our family nights usually treating our son to a few episodes of Backyardigans with stovetopped popcorn. That or a quick walk to the ice cream place!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I love when technology does something this cool!!! My kids would love an outdoor movie!
ReplyDeleteKaty,
ReplyDeleteI think a movie projector would make coming to the grandparents house super fun!
We like to open up the pull out sofa and all pile on to snuggle in for a movie. Our 3-yr-old thinks its the greatest activity ever! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhat a special and memorable way to get the family together.....I love it! Thanks for sharing and for the wonderful gift card giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWe usually choose something special once a month or so - we don't have TV, so movie night is exciting. Daddy pops up copious amounts of corn, sprinkles on seasoning & away we go, scattered around the room.
ReplyDeleteOooh, how I want one of these! We live in a tiny neighborhood full of kids, and we have speakers and a great garage door. I see Movie Nights for the kids all summer! The classics: ET, Jungle Book, Star Wars...the works! What fun!!!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is just 5 so we haven't done a movie night yet. Honestly, I was thinking of this as more fun for me and my DH!
ReplyDeleteOur movie nights are CHAOS since we have so many age groups (adults, pre-teen, kindergartener, toddler...and we'll assume the infant doesn't count now). However, movie nights MUST involve popcorn and/or Pirate's Booty or at least two of the kids will mutiny! :)
ReplyDeleteWe usually make a pallet in the living room but it would be SO fun to do one on the deck!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a camper and have talked about getting one of theses so we can do a movie night on our MANY camping trips! (Unfortunately it has not yet fit into the budget!) These look like great fun!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! We usually just turn out the lights and everyone smuggles close on the couch. Recently, the kiddies tried to watch a movie in the tent, but had to crowd around my iPhone screen. That projector would totally blow their mind! Thanks for the chance to win. :)
ReplyDeleteStove top popped corn and snuggled on the couch are perfect for our little family! Thanks for hosting this giveaway! Rachelayne84 at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe usually have movie night inside on the couch, but his sounds so fun! My kids say popcorn and ice cream make it even better.
ReplyDeletewe just snuggle on the couch, but would love to be able to try an outdoor nite!
ReplyDeleteWe snuggle up on our couch. At my husband's last job, though, we would borrow his work's projector and watch movies on the wall...definitely miss that!
ReplyDeleteI completed an alternate form of entry.
ReplyDeleteWe were gifted a huge screen, that we mounted outside. That way we can invite the neighbors over, and my kids think it is great.
ReplyDeleteFun! My husband loves gadgets, this would be perfect for his birthday!
ReplyDeleteI think this is a must have, for summer movie nights!
ReplyDeleteWhat ag great idea! Sure beats just turning out the lights in the living room.
ReplyDeletefamily movie night at our house means a red box on the couch with popcorn and lots of blankets!
ReplyDeleteHave been wanting to get a good projector so we could float in the pool and watch movies projected onto the back wall.
This is so great for our trips to Lake Powell! How great would it be to project a movie onto the huge cliffs? It would be such a fun summer treat! Lots of outside movies to come!
ReplyDeleteOh, so fun!! We do movie nights in our bedroom, all snuggled in together. We like the funny ones, they make for some laughter filled evenings, which in turn makes wonderfully good memories.
ReplyDeleteWe do movie nights curled on the couch with Netflix. Outside snuggles would be just as nice!
ReplyDeleteThat is just about the coolest thing ever. We always do family movie nights at Christmas and Thanksgiving and everyone is huddled around a tiny screen, this projector could solve that problem!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love the treehouse movie night idea! What fun! It certainly makes our piling into the living room and sharing homemade popcorn seem a little dull. I think I need to step it up a little. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a super fun way to have movie night...I didn't even know that they made a projector like this! Our family movie night is simple, lots of blankets with the lights out snuggled up on our couch.
ReplyDeleteWe've been obsessed with getting a projector ever since we borrowed one from work last July 4th. We projected Tangled on a sheet in the backyard and the kids had the time of their lives. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteWill you adopt me? Tree house movie night is pretty much the coolest thing ever! At our house, we pop popcorn and snuggle on the couch. It's simple, but awesome!
ReplyDeleteWe are planning a backyard movie night with to celebrate the end of the school year. We are very excited about it and this may just be something we should try.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review and I hope I win. I loves me some Target!
Movie night is special because the husband lets the kids pick the movie, and then sits through it with them (including Barbie movies!) My girls snuggle up with their dad. It is such a treat for them!
ReplyDeleteWe do family movies the old fashioned way, we go to the local drive-in! Yep, we still have one and it's awesome. This projector would be extra awesome tho ;)
ReplyDeletebarbi 17 west at gmail dot com
Family movie night at our house means mom makes a new variety of flavored popcorn--and lots of it!
ReplyDeleteCuddled on the couch! But we have a playhouse that would work great with that little gizmo!
ReplyDeleteMovie night at our house includes popcorn w/ M&M's, snuggling under a blanket, and lights out!
ReplyDeleteWe have the typical couch movie nights so far, but my husband has big hopes for a huge tree house for the kids, so maybe someday we'll be having tree-house movie nights too! Looks fun!
ReplyDeleteOh very sweet. My boys would love to do that. Thanks for the giveaway. pa underscore north at hotmail dot com
ReplyDeleteWe build a bed on the floor, and it always turns out that my husband and girls fall asleep on the floor, and I get the bed to myself that nite. :) Oh, and popcorn is a must!
ReplyDeletesumossweetstuff@gmail.com
This is awesome! I hope we win. :D
ReplyDeleteWe get into pajamas and share a bowl of popcorn on the couch.
ReplyDeletemami2jcn at gmail dot com
we have a "sleepover" in the bonus room with our three girls!
ReplyDeleteWe all snuggle on the couches with popcorn and lemonade or root beer floats
ReplyDeleteWe usually crowd around the TV, crowded onto two couches and sprawled across the floor. I love the idea of a tree house movie night! Now to get working on our tree house . . .
ReplyDeleteWe typically pop yummy popcorn and put it in our special containers. Everyone gets in pj's and we grab all the pillows and blankets we can find. I love family movie nights!
ReplyDeleteIt is just my husband and I for a few more months. We watch movies on Hulu so this would be super fun to do inside or out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteFor our movie nights we usually order out (pizza or Thai!) and cuddle up to a movie!
ReplyDeletewe do a Saturday night family movie night during the school year, sitting in our living room (sometimes with popcorn made on the stove), we get Netflix in the mail & also have Netflix online.

My kids love family movies the best when we let everyone pile into mom and dad's bed and watch a movie on the laptop!
ReplyDeleteWe have Friday Night Movie Night & in the summer it's often Outdoor Movie Night! So fun! But that little guy would make it a snap, instead of the big production it is around here. :)
ReplyDeleteIn the summer we use our big ol' clunky projector and a big white sheet for an outdoor movie night in the backyard!
ReplyDeleteMovie nights are snuggled up on the couch but we've always wanted to watch movies outside and this would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat looks sweet! We sporadically do movie - afternoons. (Our kids get amped after a move - or maybe its the type of movie we all like to watch.) We wear our PJ's, the kids like kettle corn via the microwave and little tiny cans of root bear. :) I like M&M's and a pot of coffee. Not sure what the husband fixes *laughing*. Its like the dinner table, up down up down. Oh, and lots of blankets - to cuddle up with ....and who's to say they also protect the carpet? :)
ReplyDeletethat's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteOur movie nights vary, but tend to fall on holidays - New Years Eve, Valentines, Christmas Eve, after trick-or-treating... so the treats depend on the holiday. We pull our futon into a bed and pile on with pillows and blankets, turn off the lights and pass the treats around! My husband has borrowed a projector from work which is extra fun.
With summer coming, would be great to elevate our outdoor movie nights- which to date have involved dragging the tv and dvd player outside- ha! Your tree-house set-up is dreamy by the way :).
ReplyDeleteWe love family movie night....we all sit together on the couch and eat caramel corn.
ReplyDeleteMy boys would love this! We have a bit wall in the upstairs living room that would be perfect for this :D
ReplyDeleteWe hang up a sheet (inside or out), call up our friends and set up our projector. But it's huge. And a pain to lug around. This would be so perfect!
ReplyDeleteYou're making me jealous of your tree house! We have boring movie nights, in doors, in front of the TV on the couch. But here's hoping for a new projector!
ReplyDeleteWe typically watch a Netflix or Redbox movie (usually an action or a comedy at my husband's request). We watch it on our couch, usually with snacks like popcorn and ice cream. I have a feeling that our movie nights will become more infrequent and more special as our family grows.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My kiddos would LOVE this (and me too!) We do movies nights in front of the computer screen half of the time (it's a better screen than our old television). :) Hope we win!
ReplyDeleteThere is still a local drive-in, which we LOVE, but oh, to cast a flick upon the garage door and invite a few small friends! That would be perfect, and I had no idea projectors were so accessible.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting a projector for AGES. This is perfect!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would use this for our big family get togethers this summer... TOO great of an idea! In fact, I might just have to buy it anyway if I don't win :)
ReplyDeleteWe always have movie nights just on our living room couch. This projector would open so many different possibilities.
ReplyDeleteI will use it for watching great movies, and enjoying with a bowl of popcorn.
ReplyDeleteWe do it the boring way: lights out, with blankets on the couch.
ReplyDeleterebekahricker (at) yahoo (dot) com
We do pizza and a movie night every Friday. It's a family tradition I hope lasts us through our children's adulthood!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a projector. We have a big white wall just perfect for this!
What a great giveaway.
Our family movie nights are spent snuggled on the couch after the baby goes to bed. Hopefully soon that will expand to include movies at the drive in while the baby sleeps in her car seat!
ReplyDeleteNearly every Saturday night after Sabbath we have popcorn and a movie. The girls love it, especially since it is one of the few times they get to watch tv.
ReplyDeleteMovie nights are a special treat around here, not because we do anything special, but because they don't get to watch TV too much. We do often pop some popcorn and add some candy in it for a special family tradition.
ReplyDeleteit's not a movie night for our family without homemade pizza and ice cream and brownie to indulge on while watching a movie.
ReplyDeletelovemesomedots10 at hotmail d0t com
Oh, we normally try to do movie marathons... our next challenge is a Harry Potter marathon! My daughter's friend did this and it took them about 22 hours. I'm waiting for summer break and foggy weather (common here in the summer) so we can not feel too guilty about being coach potatoes for so long! Will probably have to make butter beer and cauldron cakes too!
ReplyDeleteI have dreamed of having an outdoor movie night and you have inspired me!!! I think an evening outside with a movie and popcorn sounds divine! I have wanted to buy a projector but we just can't afford one so this gift card would definitely help!

How fun! My girls just turned 2, so we haven't done family movie nights yet, but I love the idea of having them in a treehouse! Definitely putting that in the "future ideas" arsenal!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a ton of fun! Thanks so much for the chance to win!!

Wow, how nice, thanks for the giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteWe make popcorn and turn the lights off. Nothing fancy but enjoyable all the same.

ReplyDeleteWe finally have a sofa big enough to comfortably fitall of us...so movie nights find us all sprawled out...next to, on top of, and covered by each other :-)
ReplyDeleteMovie night is typically a Redbox feature on the couch or blankets on the floor. (And that one dollar rental usually ends up costing me at least $5 because I never remember to return them promptly!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity to win!
Our little one's aren't yet old enough for movie night. But I've definitely started a list of must see movies!
ReplyDeleteWe all pile into our (the parents') big bed and watch with popcorn and apples. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteWhen it's with our almost-three-year-old, we love to spread out a big blanket with snacks on the living room floor and pick out a movie from Netflix Instant (they have great kids' movies). If it's just me and the hubby, we usually snuggle up in bed with the iPad and a rented movie from iTunes. And I usually knit. It's the best! Thanks for the chance to win! The treehouse movie night looks like SO much fun!
ReplyDelete... and I tweeted about it. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI already have a projector that we use in the garage for big family nights or we do inside, redbox, and some taco soup.
ReplyDeleteNo family movie nights with our kids just yet - my oldest is three and we don't watch any TV with her just yet.... BUT I am keeping a list of movies to share when she is old enough...The Toy Story trilogy, ET, Annie... My husband and I have have a movie night every weekend: crank up On Demand and sit in a tired stupor. Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteWe love our Friday movie nights, pj's on, popcorn popped, and everyone comfy on the couch.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! We love movie night! we have the kids come over in pi's and project the movie onto our garage door. Midway through I serve everyone milk and cookies.
ReplyDeleteWe love movie nights. We call them "Family MOvie Night". All 5 of us snuggle up in mommy and daddy's bed with the lights off then turn on our favorite movie. :) The kids love it
ReplyDeleteWith summer vacation fast approaching I have been creating a list of activities. Movie night would be a great addition to this list. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteSweet treehouse! We all snuggle on the couch and watch some kid-friendly movie together.
ReplyDeleteNeato! My kids love Friday Night Movie Night. Pajamas, popcorn, quilts on the living room floor - it's delightful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win!
We do movie nights with everyone cuddled close on the couch with snacks for all! My favorite part of our movie nights are when the movie is over - our girls insist on dancing to the credit song! As soon as a movie ends we have girls yelling "lets dance" - it makes me smile thinking about it! What a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMovie night is in mommy's room (of course) and my two lil ones take turns on picking a movie. I love to soak up these moments because they grow up TOO fast!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! My girls are pretty scared about movies, so we usually watch them on the couch, with all the lights on, and ready to fastfoward at any moment:)
ReplyDeleteWe do movie nights in our living room with lots of blankets and pillows...and popcorn, of course.
ReplyDeleteI tweeted!

Movie night is Friday for us, usually involves an epidose of Dukes of Hazzard!
ReplyDeleteMy family right now is just my husband and me, and we don't have a couch, or a tv, so we set the laptop up on a board on our bed, and snuggle up with lots of popcorn.

I've wanted a movie projector for a long time. Mother's Day cam and went without one :(
ReplyDeleteWe spend a lot of time outside. Our house is rather small and we use our backyard as an extension of our living room. In order to have outdoor movie night we set up a table and bring out our tv. We will hook up our computer and sometimes we will set up our wii in order to watch and play outside. We just love being outside under the stars. But setting everything up a rather long and troublesome task... I find myself doing it less and less. The 3M Mobile Projector would be wonderful. This giveaway would help a bunch. Thank you!
Ray Harryhausen and popcorn!
ReplyDeletecan you believe it, we've never had a family movie night! i would love to try this out for our very first one!
ReplyDeleteWe love to do a movie night after finishing a good book together. We just finished The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and then watched the Disney movie together. Half of us on the floor with pillows and the others laying on the couch.
ReplyDeleteWe (hus and I) watch in the living room on the sofa, surrounded by the dogs.. but it would be very cool to move things around!
ReplyDeletei love watching a movie with popcorn!
ReplyDeletefreebiel0ve@yahoo.com
We snuggle up on the couch to do a movie night, although I can't remember the last time we did it. Perhaps we'll have to make an effort to do it more often as our children are getting older and more able to sit through a whole movie.

ReplyDeleteLove movie night! Redbox and Popcorn!
ReplyDeletePopcorn and Star Wars in the living room!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool!

My husband makes an amazing truffle-salt popcorn, and "special drinks" for our son (Shirley Temples, basically). That projector looks really cool!
ReplyDeleteWe do movie night with homemade pizza, some mattresses on the living room floor and any and all friends welcome to join in. Our two kids (14 and 11) have a gang of kids in the neighborhood and they love to come over and hang out at our house for a movie...or two!
ReplyDeleteWe usually just park it on the couch. However, we tried a projector once on the side of the house with a sheet. It didn't work very well, but the projector was pretty rickety. This seems like a much better option.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the cones of snacks being ferried up and down.

Movie nights in my family are pretty much all luck! If we're all in the house when one person starts watching a movie we'll all watch it.

ReplyDeleteWe do movie nights on the couch with popcorn or at the table with dinner on nights when we just can't wait. We love to watch movies from our own childhoods with the kids (Indiana Jones and The Princess Bride are perennial favourites) and marvel at how they never complain about the lack of newfangled special effects.
ReplyDeleteA stop at a redbox and cuddles on the couch.
