Blessing and Giveaway!

Having never found out in advance what we were having, I always had to have something on hand for the blessing for both boy and girl to wear.

I made some linen overalls before Divine was born that I didn't care for by the time Pearl was born, so I made this little romper.

On it are two little glass buttons my dad cut out and engraved "baby" and "dill".

When I showed him the buttons, he didn't remember that he had done them and commented what a clever and great idea they were.

He was even more pleased when I reminded him that he made them.

The romper was very snug on Drummer, so he was stuffed in it much to his dismay, but looked awfully cute. 

Cohen wasn't sure what the big fuss was about and why Drummer didn't ham it up for the photos.

Until he got home and fed.

If I would have made a new outfit, I would have altered it with smaller pockets and a smaller collar (funny how our tastes change over time), but all in all it was a relief to finally be able to use my little boy blessing romper with the faux suspenders and engraved glass buttons.  

Drummer might just turn out to be a music conductor with those ever moving arms of his :)

The hat: isn't it quintessentially cute?  I found it on etsy and do you know how many people out there are selling crocheted newsboy hats?  I rummaged through lots and lots to find this one, at Moose Mouse Creations by Carolyn.  I liked it because she uses cotton yarn instead of synthetic and I like the detail of the brim and the segments of the top.
