Two Striped Baldies

My in-house help is gone.  Sigh.  My dad finally came and rescued my mom who may or may not tell you she's weary or that these five monkeys are more than a handful.  We will miss her culinary concoctions each evening and her constant laundry folding, but she missed her best friend and he, her.  As for the other striped baldy, no name yet, but the birth story is coming along.

  4. He is beautiful, but you make me laugh with the no name yet thing. (Actually, I'm just dying to find out.) I'd have thought you'd have had a boy name years ago by this point. Is this the first time you didn't find out what you were having? I'm sure you've seen all the ideas out there. Don't let them sway you, you guys choose perfectly lovely names all on your own.

  8. Wow your mom is wonderful. I'm spent after a few hours with our 3 week old grand magnificent. I believe your mom has super powers.

Lovie is so precious. His name will present itself before he needs to write it I have no doubts.

    Thanks for sharing.

  9. I can't believe they even let you leave the hospital without a name! I was so pressured to put pen to paper and that was YEARS ago- My Birth cert. however says last name and then female as my parents could not believe they had a 3rd girl!

  17. I'm sure that will be a family favorite picture forever!

I really love that he has no name yet, our son didn't have a name for what felt like forever (but only about 2 days after he was born), but I have no doubt that we picked the right one!

  21. Dear Katy,
I am really addicted to your blog from day 1 I discovered it. What a precious family you have. This too is an adorable picture!

Your nameless boy makes me laugh. Here in the Netherlands that wouldn't be possible, since the father (or anyone else present at the birth) has to declare the baby's birth within 3 working days at the municipality... indeed: with the first name(s)! Be lucky you live in the states ;-)

    Best,
    Jo

  23. Awww... adorable! No name still? Do you just call him Baby Boy Dill in the meantime?

I have 3 girls (age 3, 1, and 1), and whenever I go out anywhere, at least 3 people feel compelled to tell me that I have my hands full. I bet you hear that all the time, too!!!

  24. I'd say the obvious choice is Dillan

  27. Are you taking name ideas? Even if you're not, I've been checking every day to see what name you will pick (isn't the blog world amazing that way?) and so a few have popped into my mind. You don't know me from Eve, but I'm just throwing these out there. You both pick such lovely and unique, visual names. I thought of Griere, Ash, Reed, River, Grey, or West. Does this fall under "Unsolicited Advice"? Hope not. Just excited to see what you decide upon! Congrats!

  28. I think this is why Jews get 8 days to come up with a name, (until they're circumcised) because it's such a big deal. I just called my son "bug" or "sweetie" until he was named.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.
