When we brought this sweet boy home the girls couldn't wait to find out if they had another sister or if it was their luck that a brother had been delivered.
First we made them take turns telling us who they suspected was in Ryan's arms.
They all guessed a brother except Clover. How Clover wanted a baby sister. Named Bumblebee.
So we finally told them they finally had a baby brother.
Divine's face tells it all.
They were all absolutely thrilled.
Except poor Clover. She was devastated. She wanted me to put him back in my tummy. She still won't have anything to do with him. I have suspicions, though, that they'll be fast friends when he gets older. Good thing the majority of the dill girlies are ecstatic.
I love that you have these pictures....such great memories!
ReplyDeleteAwe that so sweet, lmbo. She is really upset. lol
ReplyDeletehaha - her little sad face is priceless!
ReplyDeleteWhen my daughter found out we were having a 2nd child, she told me that she didn't want one. But she's more then happy to have him to play with now.
ReplyDeleteawwwwww so sweet!
ReplyDeletei'm dying to know his name :)
Wow, the photos of your girls brought tears to my eyes. So much love in one house. What a lucky baby boy.
ReplyDeleteOh my, so sweet, I love their reactions. Even poor Clover, I sympathize with her, I was so steamed when my mom brought home baby boy after baby boy! lol. I was so overjoyed when I finally got a sister, but we were six years apart and didn't actually play with each other, I played with the boys after all ;)
ReplyDeleteA newborn in the house. Is there anything more special? Congratulastions!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! He is adorable and your girls are as well. I just had my bundle 4 weeks ago!
ReplyDeleteEmily
How precious and beautiful! Azure's face in the second photo... I love their innocence and pure love, and how you captured it here. It's like bringing some of heaven home with you.
ReplyDeleteHow precious!
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet little Clover's face....she breaks my heart! My little one gets the same squishy look when she cries, too.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that the rest of the family is thrilled, and I'm sure Clover will come right around, too ;)These photos are such a treasure!

ReplyDeleteThat is sooo cute! Love little Clover's face and yes she will get over it and enjoy him very soon. Ours wanted another sister and luckily they got one. Boy is he going to be bossed around with all those big sisters!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely priceless!
ReplyDeleteWow! I just love these pictures... what a special time. I can't stop thinking about what it might be like to be a boy growing up with five older sisters. So cool.
ReplyDeleteDarling little Clover. She will realize soon that she is much older than her baby brother and she will have no trouble putting him in dresses pretending that he is her baby sister. At least that's what I did to my baby brother :).
ReplyDeletei teared up reading this post! so cute that you got photos of their reaction - what great expressions they have (even clover, haha!). cuties.
ReplyDeleteOh, too precious! Those pictures are truly worth a thousand words each. What an amazing memory to look back on in years to come!
ReplyDeleteAw sweet Clover, she doesn't realize yet that it means she can keep her reign as the little princess in the home! Love all the faces; what a precious moment you've captured!
ReplyDeleteLittle Clover, so sweet, she may not know it now, but someday they'll be the best of friends.

ReplyDeletetheir darling joyful faces mades me hold back a sob :O) What blessings! I can't imagine a little fella that will be more dotted on or mothered.... poor Clover, true chagrin:O)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures make me happy! Sweet sisters...poor Clover. I think he'll win her over.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's so sweet! I love the pictures. And the Bumblebee. So cute. Almost makes me not want to find out next time around...but just almost ;).

ReplyDeleteDivine's face just says it all! How wonderful this little man will be with such loving sisters (maybe Clover will keep him humble!)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, the little sad, crumpled face of Clover is just so precious. Poor big sister, having a little brother...I adore my little brother, hopefully she will too!
ReplyDeleteI love how you took photos as you told them the news. They are priceless! Poor Clover though.
ReplyDeleteMy 3yr old has an 18 month old sister... we've got another on the way which we aren't finding out. She thinks it's a sister but today decided it will be a brother. We'll all be surprised when the time comes! Hope you're resting and enjoying him. I bet the nappy changing is WEIRD after 5 girls!!! :)
they will surely go on to become good friends! the pic of the little one sighing is priceless!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky little man to have all of those doting girls and to have such a good example in a father. Oh that sweet little Clover. I remember praying that all of my three little brothers would be girls and be named "Daisy" (after Daisy Duke...oh my). I'm so happy you get to experience a boy!
ReplyDeleteHow precious! Both the excited faces and the sad one brought tears to my eyes!
ReplyDeleteWow those are PRICELESS photos capturing that special moment! Bless little Clover - I think you are right they'll be fast friends. Boys bring a very wonderful (and energetic!) dynamic to the family :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy being home with your precious littles around you X
How wonderful! I love the play by play photos. Hope you are getting enough rest.
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are great!-
ReplyDeletewhen my parents brought my little brother, Alex, home from the hospital, I famously asked them to go back and get a girl, and now, at 10 and 17, we really are best friends, he's the best to hang out with, and I spoil him rotten :)xxx
Oooooh... the sad face of Clover :(
ReplyDeleteBut the little lights in the eyes of your other girls, super!
You have such gorgeous girls! Their looks of delight (minus poor Clover's tears..aw!) when they find out they have a baby brother are priceless!
ReplyDeleteMy step-mum is pregnant and if it's a boy he will have 6 older sisters! We're all hoping for a boy.
Congratulations, you have such a perfect family :)
I love how excited the girls were! It made me laugh to see Clover's sad little face. Clover and Bumblebee would have been cute little pals though! :) Can't wait to see him in person and find out his name!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt that sweet, little Mr. Dill will be completely loved and adored by his older sisters...even Clover! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us and letting us share in your joys.
ReplyDeleteAww. Bless her little heart! I bet she will be his best buddy!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm ecstatic too. She will relish (dill relish?) the role of big sister. This will be one well looked after little man. Six women telling him what to do? He'll receive plenty of advice and direction I am sure. :-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on this very exciting blessing. So very happy for you! And I suspect the Lord has a very special friendship in store for Miss Clover and her new buddy.
I love that you share such beautiful pictures and special moments with us. That's why we visit your blog and follow all your stories and crafty adventures every week.
ReplyDeleteClover will follow her sisters and be ecstatic in no time, I know.
Congratulations again Katy and hugs from Toronto!

ReplyDeleteOh her little face...Congrats on the new baby Dill. I hope Clover will soon learn how precious little boys are!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you and your girls. Congrats. I love Divine's face, she is going to have so much fun.
ReplyDeleteThis is the sweetest post ever. I love Clover's face, so precious/hilarious, and what she said was such a three-year-old thing to say. You can't make that stuff up! The girls look so happy. What a great surprise for them!
ReplyDeleteAhh, this was so sweet. Your girls are darling. I'm sure Clover will soon come to love her baby brother!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! A boy! Excited for you and your whole family.
ReplyDeleteaww. That's the sweetest thing :)
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet story! reminds me of when I asked my daughter what she wanted, a brother or a sister, and she said, doggie. she got a brother.
ReplyDeleteThose expressions, their look...so sweet!what an amazing way of capturing that moment! and poor little Clover..., she'll get over it really quickly!
ReplyDeleteA boy! Congratulations! Oh what fun you'll have with him :) I thought you'd have another girl. One of my first thoughts of this wee little man with five older sisters was how much work his future girlfriends will have trying to impress the girls!
ReplyDeleteOh Katy, those expressions are priceless! HUGE congratulations to you and your family on the arrival of your sweet new son :)
ReplyDeleteSo Sweet. Congradulations!
ReplyDeleteCongrats- how wonderful it was that you guys waited to tell them in person with your baby boy! Clover will eventually be dressing him up... I was the same way when my parents brought my brother home - I refused to address him by his name and only as 'Oscar ' after 'the grouch'! Best of luck with the healing process and I look forward to learning his name and seeing more pics !
ReplyDeleteAhh yes. My two boys now have a 3 month old sister, and though they love her, every once in a while they do ask "When's she going back in your tummy?" But we love her. And I love following your brood. I always wonder: can one do a big family? I think I want one, but can it actually function? And you show me that it is do-able =) Blessings on your new little one.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics. My daughter (now six) kept asking me to take her little brother (now three) back from wherever we got him. That lasted for a few weeks until we finally got it through to her that he was staying. Now they play pretty well together! And fight! And laugh and roll about and fight some more! That's siblings for you!
ReplyDeleteDawn x
Love her face when she saw her baby brother -- pure magic. What a beautiful family you have. Congrats on it getting even bigger :)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How exciting for your family! I enjoy reading your blog...you so inspire me to be better! Enjoy your time with your little guy!
ReplyDeletePoor Clover! I am in the middle of 5 boys in my own family, and when my 5th brother was born, I cried and cried. I wanted a sister so badly! And, I was 6! I did get a sister when I was 8, but Clover already has 4 sisters, so she'll probably be okay. :) Congratulations to you all. You are a lovely family and I admire you greatly.
ReplyDeleteMany many congrats! You are going to really enjoy that new baby BOY!
ReplyDeletethat´s awesome!!!! on a side note, your family is gorgeous! On the main note, great pictures and thanks for sharing how they found out :)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I have been away from the internet at the wrong time to congratulate you and your family! Welcome to the little sweetheart. I bet he's going to be super spoiled and magically loved ;-) even by Clover

ReplyDeleteCutest post ever, what a BEAUTIFUL family you have! Congrats Dill-y-yo!
ReplyDeleteYay a boy. Congratulations Mama.
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet Clover! At least she will be unique - the only one to have only a little brother, no little sisters! (I have two of each myself!)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and your family! What a lovely series of shots...such treasures.
ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best during this sweet, sleep-deprived, over-flowing-with-love-and-other-emotions time!

Lovely pics! So adorable!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the Dill Family! I cant wait to see all the cute little boy cloths you will make! Such a beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteI know, belated. But congratulations. I'm catching up on all your Baby Boy posts and I'm totally welling up with emotion.
ReplyDeleteWhen my third sister was born (an all girl-five-family) my second sister's only comment was, "Oh, rats!"
We only have three boys, but are having our first girl. Our youngest, as yours, was the only one who was hoping for a repeat in the gender series. The other two are giddy and can't stop talking about their baby sister (two more months!) Hoping my little one will come around, too.
Take care and enjoy your little ones duing your babymoon.
