I'm so glad there are a lot of orange fans out there--and a few converts ;) ! Doing my Never Enough Orange Series has been fun--to know I'm not alone in my citrus hued love [because limes and lemons also have rather sexy skins, don't you think?] makes it a party! So, I sign off for the weekend, leaving you with a giveaway of the orange nature. One Shabby Apple dress:
and a coordinating pendant, handmade from recycled glass by a metals student, Stina, who just opened up an etsy shop. I love how original and fresh it is. [Her green glass items are also amazing: one of my personal favorites.] Wouldn't these two look great together? Because they're going to the same winner! Hop on over here to enter the Shabby Apple and Stina Pendant Giveaway.

Also, don't forget about the $100 giveaway! Some of you wanted to see the different designs of my baby dill artists on their toothbrushes; you can tell it was Divine that helped Clover do hers.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend. We will be thinking of all those who have given their lives for us to enjoy the freedom to live, worship, and do as we feel we should. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

An easy, inexpensive project, 6 flag panels, uncut ($1/panel), two grommets and two nails. If you add the two kids, it gets kind of pricey, though. ;)
Be well.
Where in the world did you get the uncut flag panels? That is so cool! I would love to get that. Please do tell!
ReplyDeleteJenny--some walmarts have a fabric section. I got this on their $1/yard table. Bargain, eh?

have a good weekend.
I started following your blog several months ago, and since then I have become one of those almost creepily avid readers. I have not, however, reached the point where I spend hours refreshing the page over and over again, waiting for a new post. But if you keep posting pictures and tutorials like this, I may yet get there.
ReplyDeleteI've kept up with your wonderful blog for awhile through my yahoo Alerts and just started following through my google account as well. Better safe than sorry right! I have two boys (23 months and 2 months) and think you are such a wonder woman keeping up with your blog so well, being quite innovative with your work, and being a great mommy to soon to be six great kids. Keep up the great job!
ReplyDeleteI just started following your blog this week, but I'm glad I did! Thanks for sharing all of your awesomeness with the rest of us. :)
ReplyDeleteI started following your blog a few months ago. I love your pictures and the creativity in your sewing adventures!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this dress! SO modest yet feminine and bold with the beautiful shade of orange!! I can picture myself wearing it to church, and a night out on the town with the hubby. Sometimes as a mom of four young children I get into the habit of wearing t-shirts, jeans and a ponytail....I could use a little more color in my wardrobe.

ReplyDeleteHow fun to see you expecting your sixth! It's true what the mom from 19 kids and counting said "the first four are the hardest" but really I just enjoy having independent kids around the house & they can take care of the toddler while I nap with baby :)
ReplyDeleteso excited for you!
Love the dress, love your blog, love to sew too.....
