I love orange. Have you noticed? I haven't been able to convince Ryan to let me paint an entire room the citrus shade, but we still have plenty of orange decor. I thought it would be fun to have an orange star giveaway, but I recognize that everyone doesn't share the orange love [why not?!?!]

ReplyDeleteI really like The Lacy Cardinal.
ReplyDelete23 Star Kaleidoscopic Constellation
ReplyDeleteDoes that count in the giveaway!? It's stunning.
If I HAVE to choose a single star, I choose Flora Lime, she would perfectly complement my ORANGE kitchen.
You heard it! We have an all-orange painted room. Ryan should let you do it. We first used the color in our bedroom. A true orange, and truly awesome!!!
I love the snowflake star tree topper and we need something to top our tree. It'd probably be out all year, too. I also like the Atlantic Ocean Star. Beautiful. Thanks! kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com
ReplyDeleteOrange blossom for me please! I adore the orange.
ReplyDeleteI love the cinnamon star! Those are so beautiful.

ReplyDeletemy hallway/mudroom is orange! it is my favorite color too and i would have loved your dresses in any color, but i loved them even more because they were orange. Anyways, i love the orange blossom catcher, and would love to be able to display in my window:) thanks for the fun giveaway!

ReplyDeletesallyavena@gmail.com
I really like full figured rosy. I love red. but i also love little lime flora.
ReplyDeleteindecisive much?
Could it be a rainbow star? :) I love colors. All colors. Those stars are gorgeous. The shot of the orange one with the sun shining through really shows it's beauty! Oh, and I adore your Project Run and Play finale. If someone out there does not love orange, just show them that beautiful piece and they will see how elegant and fun it can be. I seriously love it. I am hoping for a tutorial on at least parts of it (the ruffle skirt!) I'd love to make a dress for my toddler with a similar ruffle skirt...and maybe a similar top too...okay, okay, can you just shrink the whole thing down and send it my way? haha
ReplyDeleteI love the Red Repitiously Redundant!!
ReplyDeleteOh. The stars are amazing. So beautiful. I'm having a hard time picking a favorite. I'm quite fond of Orange Blossom but also of Cinnamon Star. Your dad is very talented.
ReplyDeleteOh, how gorgeous...and so difficult to decide. But, I'm loving the orange and blue of "Turqs and Cake-Ohs". Thanks for sharing.

The dainty doily is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAh! Tricky decision...I'm going to say Cinnamon Star. Red all the way!
ReplyDeleteI love the green one with the flower or clover in it. Gorgeous! Or the clear Subtle Swirls. Both gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteroberkann@gmail.com
Those are beautiful. I especially love Flora Lime with the leaves in the center. It would make my kitchen/dining area smile :)
ReplyDeletekati(dot)farrer(at)gmail(dot)com
Orange is our company color. We have orange accent walls and orange pin-up boards in our studio. I, too, love orange, but I get enough of it at the office. :) Flora Lime for me. I've already picked out a place...in the kitchen...above my sink...sitting on my old, white window ledge.
ReplyDeleteI love the 2nd Grade Hotpad. The teal and red are just beautiful together.
ReplyDeletemoodykelly at gmail dot com
I would choose Full Figured Rosie although they are all stunning!
ReplyDeletecarriefragnoli@yahoo.com
wow, they are all so beautiful, but my favorite is definitely the Turqs and Cake Ohs, it makes me happy just to look at it. =). And I just wanted to say that I've been reading your blog for awhile and have never commented, but you are so talented and your posts always make me smile.

ReplyDeletekacey_m26@hotmail.com
Love the Blue Bachelor Button star. It's such a pretty shade of blue!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest has an orange wall in her bedroom and it's absolutely divine! I was a little nervous as we painted but it's such a warm, cheerful color you can't help but smile when you see it.
Atlantic Ocean Star just jumped out at me. I think it might have said my name, too. What fun! Thank you Katy and Kurt.
ReplyDeleteCan't decide...I LOVE the green one and green is my favorite color, but I love the clock face of the purple one :) hmmm...decisions...

ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful ! I LOVE all the Lucy in the sky, specially the clear one : it would be terrific with the sunlight througt it... ReplyDeletemeglutenfree at gmail dot com
Lucy in the Sky, for the name alone(and it's gorgeous). I grew up dancing to the Sgt. Peppers Album in my living room-record album that is.
ReplyDeleteJust one?? They are absolutely gorgeous! I think I love the 5 points 11 Petals and Red All Over. It was a toss up between that one and the Blossoms one... although, I really, really loved the ones with the clocks in them too. So awesome!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the orange one... totally cool and makes me think of clementines, one of my favorite snacks.
ReplyDeleteThey're all lovely but I think I like It's Always Greener the best.
ReplyDeletemorganmadeit.net
I lust for orange in a similar fashion. :) Loving Turqs and Cake Ohs
ReplyDeleteI was going to say orange, and then I saw the rose gauze one. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHis shop is in my favorites now. What beautiful window charms. :)
"Multi" is my favorite color... ;)but I lean more towards blues and greens. My fav. star is the Atlantic Ocean star... I cannot decide on the what color for the center. Green, no, blue, no green, no blue... okay: BLUE. (Or green, whichever)
ReplyDeleteVery excited! ~Ann
I'm going to say the wedding star. Mainly because my 5th anniversary is in about 2 1/2 weeks and thats whats on my mind. They are all wonderful of course. I would be happy to have any one of them in my house!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful stars, your Dad is very talented. After looking at them all for a couple of times I love the Scarlet one the best!
ReplyDeleteThey are all delightful, but if I have to choose one, then I choose the turqs and orange (? I think that was the name?!) it would definitely make me smile!
ReplyDeletekmcnatt (at) hotmail.com

ReplyDeletekrisstout(at)hotmail(dot)com

hannahkzun@gmail.com
I used to do stained glass myself before my children were born and I would love to get back into it someday. Someday ...
ReplyDeleteThese stars are so fun. I love the organic, uneven nature of them. While the orange is lovely, it simply would not go with the decor in my home. I adore the green with the face that you posted and its available in the shop. It would look divine in my (lime green and royal blue) sewing room.
The Orange and Green Go Good is beautiful and matches my kitchen decor perfectly. Thanks so much for this giveaway!
ReplyDeletei'll do orange! love turqs and cake ohs... even the name brings a smile. if i ever become independently wealthy i would love to buy the 23 star Kaleidoscopic Constellation, absolutely beautiful!

I too love oranges and yellows and greens. But there is something about the Root Beer Face star that I love. Perhaps it's the face charm in the center. But this is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI like the orange and green go good one. But the Red ones are right up there.
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose one it would be Flora Lime. I LOVE stained glass. It reminds me of my dad!

He will soon leave this world and it would be something special for her.
While I do like orange, I love the Blue Bachelor Button star! They are all wonderful! Good luck in Project Run and Play...looks good for you right now!
ReplyDeleteI love the big hearted mama, but i also liked the lime green ones, and fuschia... ooh, and the cinnamon star... it would be hard to pick just one! monkeyshinersbaby at yahoo
ReplyDeleteoh I NEED the "big hearted Momma" star! It is so beautiful, juicy red and the name of it captures my imagination. Love love it.
ReplyDeleteThe stars are simply beautiful. I would love to have the dancing hazel in my sewing room. I would definitely smile when I see the sun shining through.
ReplyDeletei think i'd love to hang 5 Points 11 Petals and Red All Over right next to my hummingbird feeder outside.
ReplyDeletevarga . katie at gmail . com
Orange is my favorite color. I always fancied myself to be a little bit off... and orange is a color that most people don't like that much... so I made it my favorite... just like my favorite letter is Q... but only because my name is Jacque... ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnyways! My favorite star is the "Blossoms" star! It's quite lovely!
I bought one of your dad's stars for my sister for Christmas! (Blogged it here: http://muffeeeeeeee.blogspot.com/2010/12/christmas-handmades.html
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'd go for the 5 green cranberry stars set. I love his stuff, and the packaging was cute, too. :)
well - I thought that I'd surely like the orange one with the green center the best, but I think I love the 'red star red hearts' even more
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway
Orange and Green Go Good please! I love these stars!
ReplyDeleteHow is anyone supposed to choose?! Well, okay since you've forced me, I will say Lucy in the Sky. Probably because I would have to move it from room to room (it's too pretty to be confined to one space) and it would need to match everything :)
ReplyDeleteI love the red repetitiously redundant star the best!!
ReplyDeletemeganannie18 @ hotmail .com

Mama V -
vajasigmon@gmail.com
I, too, share your love of a citrus color...but mine is yellow! In an effort to spread more of this joyous color in my home, I would pick a yellow star to put right in the middle of my big bay {curtainless and blindless} window to soak up the sun and pass it along to me! I didn't see any yellow stars in your pop's shop, so maybe a custom one? If I had to choose one already made, I would choose a clear one or maybe the blue dot special. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow star would help complete my collection!
ReplyDeleteOrange blossom would be complimentry to my faux denim finish in my kitchen. Although, I liked the yellow tree topper with a copper look as well.
ReplyDeletebnkwagaman@msn.com
Little Red Bloomer is my favorite. I have a thing for red.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful giveaway!
I am having a seriously hard time choosing between the Cinnamon Star & the Fuschia Floral. You may just have to surprise me!=) They are all wonderful. I would hang this in my sewing room window and just stare at it for inspiration! Thank you (and your generous dad) for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI have an orange kitchen, but love turqoise as my favourite colour, so I choose Turqs and Cake ohs. It's a great mix of orange and turquoise!
ReplyDeletesonya dot missbossypants at gmail dot com
I like the diminutive rosy. It would be delightful in my gloriously red kitchen!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at jadeite!!! A New Era would put a smile on this face!
ReplyDeletedroy500@gmail.com

lizbalena@gmail.com
I would hang in on my porch to glisten in the sun!
ReplyDeleteThere is simply no way a person could choose just one...they are too entrancing. But, I will say, I would love to give the green one to my Mother-In-Law for her birthday (to honor her favorite color). I too love orange. It's cheerful, but in a mature way? It's hard to say!
ReplyDeleteOops, in case I win, I should have said, "Lime Green Facial". Who doesn't love a happy face!
ReplyDeleteThe Blue Dot Special wouldn't just make me happy during these dark Virginia winter days, it would also greet my sweet husband as he approaches our front window on his way home from work. How lovely is that?
ReplyDeleteI am loving the red star, it is divine! Your creativity is fabulous and your dads work is also very stunning. This is my first time to your blog, found you through project run and play (love the orange!), and I love that you have 5 girls! I am the oldest of 5 girls and our mom made us clothes all the time too:)
ReplyDeletecadybug1@hotmail.com
I love the stars--all of them. I would be thrilled with any of them. I think I would pick the winter soltice star if I picked just one.--twynn@earthlink.net
ReplyDeleteI love them all, but it would HAVE to be orange for me too. And I am lucky, I *have* an orange room in which to put it, my sewing studio (see here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/boonedoggle/sets/72157625767184711/)
ReplyDeleteOh I so hope I win!! I love it and it would be so perfect in there!!
Oh and if I were to pick from the Etsy site itself (I got a little confused sorry, it's late here ;) ), it would be tough...Dancing into Autumn and the Koi one, both have my "signature" color, and both made me instantly smile for different reasons. The dancing one because it's just so HAPPY! And the Koi one because my girls just love fish!
ReplyDeleteTalk about talent!! I'm not sure if it is in the giveaway, but I immediately fell in love with the "Choose your Memory" star. I have pieces of a dresden star quilt that my great-great aunt willed to my grandma who willed it to me. It made my eyes well up, just thinking about my grandma and how special that would be to me. Especially, when I someday finish the quilt.
ReplyDeleteThis would be such a difficult decision, I have many Kurt Knudsen originals in my Etsy favorites!
ReplyDeleteToday though, the Time for a New Era speaks to me. So good for where I am right now.
Thank you both for the chance to win.
The winter solstice star is a must have for me.
ReplyDeleteI would like to win the purple star. Here's my email address: roxyhunter7@mymelody.com
ReplyDeletehttp://2011letters.blogspot.com
I'd take an orange one but the choose your memory star caught my eye!
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely, but Flora Lime would look fab in our kitchen. We plan to paint it a shade of orange so this limey green will compliment it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteI love the "HAVE A GRAPE TIME" because I live in Sonoma County around grapes and I need to remember to "gather [my] rosebuds while [I] may."

I think this star would be perfect for our upcoming 10-year anniversary:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.etsy.com/listing/60484767/the-star-of-the-wedding
However, I'm guessing that's a bit more extravagant than what you had in mind when you decided to run the giveaway, so I also love this one:

I have a kitchen window that calls out for a colorful star.
