Frozen with Gratitude.

First of all.

I want to thank all those who voted for me this weekend.  And for the votes of the judges.  I feel so honored because of the ample amount of talent this competition holds.  You could tell that everyone worked so hard on their projects and each one was beautiful, well executed, and beautifully photographed.  Do you think we could coax them into sharing their tutorials, too?  I'm working on mine, but am in the process of recovering from my deathbed.

Ryan might say I'm being dramatic, which I am really normally not.  I met Ryan this weekend in Boston and had the best time on Friday and Saturday and then Sunday I thought I was going to die.  Or, I was just really sick and almost just wanted to die.  I even sent Ryan to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum solo.  I somehow manage to miss that one every time.  Sheesh.

It was cold.  I don't think it ever got above freezing, so even though I had my camera every single second of the trip, I didn't pull it out very much.  But we had fantastic food, did some splendid shopping, and made some dynamite discoveries [those are the best.]
Monday morning I got a text from my mom, as we were sans computer, saying I won the Project Run and Play round one!  I asked her if she was sure, because the judges' votes needed to be factored in.  We texted back and forth as I sat in the dressing room at Zara's watching Ryan try on pants.  So, thank you for adding to the beauty of my weekend.  I have more photos, though just a few, remember?  It was 15 degrees.[!]

  1. Congrats! I am so happy that you won and I can't wait to see what you'll do next. Sorry about the sickness, though. That stinks, especially when you are supposed to be having a fun trip.

  12. lovely job Katy!
hope you enjoyed the trip immensely before you got sick.
Every time we splurge (3 times total) on a weekend or evening away, one of us gets sick.
January 2nd we went to stay at Union Station in STL and enjoyed a delicious dinner--then i spent the next 2 days vomiting and so forth. ick. wiped me out for a week. But I was so thankful we at least were able to enjoy the first evening.
    hope you recover quickly!!
