So, it never actually clicked when I voted for this dress earlier this morning that it was YOURS!! But, I should have known with all the intricate details and ruffley goodness that it was :) Good luck-- though I have no doubt you will move on to the next round!
I LOVE this dress! It takes me back to my love of Anne of Green Gables as a child - minus the "puffed sleeves." :) I absolutely loved this dress. I voted for you. You're winning right now! Hurray!
Am thankful for your talent and that you choose to share it with those of us who are on the outside looking in. Your girlies are so blessed! p.s. Now that I see your creation--are you sure you only broke 3 needles and the machine is only a little off:) All that ruffley goodness=a lot of fabric between needle, foot and bobbin.
Katy this is an award winning project. Beautiful. I went over and voted for you! The rest of you please go over there and cast your votes too for Katy #1.
Guess what? My ruffle fabric came in the mail today!! So excited.
I wish the Project website had larger photos. The small versions there did not do your entry justice.
Interestingly, one of the other contestants was a roommate of my during my BYU days. How random is it that I know 2 of the few contestants on an online sewing project contest that I had nothing to do with?
Please please please, tell us all what fabric you used for the train. I love it! LOVE IT! I voted for your dress before I even realized that it was you. It is wonderful!!
Well shoot...I missed the voting, but thank goodness it didn't matter. Your dress is so creative and whimsical. Its exactly what I would have wanted my mom to sew me when I was a little girl. Well done and congrats!!
Long time stalker first time commenting. I loved your interpretation of the challenge and loved the dress. Your blog is one of my favorites. Plus I recognized someone. I served a mission with your bro-in-law Brandon.
