Sewing Soiree Summation

I think I had the most fun at this sewing soiree, not just because there was a smattering of foreign candies at my fingertips.
I loved this line up of chatting hand stitchers!
Sewing machines whirring, wafting smell of cookies baking.

A pillowcase dress completed! [and you should see how great she did her stitches!]
Dilly bread was served, of course.

These two sat on the floor making Halloween decor.

Bevy beauty buffet.

I drew some inspiration from one of the lovely ladies in attendance.  Hopefully I'll be able to actualize what I have in my head to share with you soon?

Thank you to all who came and made it an extraordinary night.  Let's do it again, shall we?
I've also heard from some of you who have decided to hold your own Sewing Soirees!  I'd love to hear about them.

We've had about 3 since then. When the weather warms up here we can spill out onto the decking and enjoy daylight savings. :D

  5. I know you were focusing on the sewing and women around you but I couldn't help but notice the fabulous room decor...
the harps(which I ALWAYS wanted to play), the huge red flower on the mantle, and the metal outdoor red chairs along the wall. Not to mention inside the fireplace and the melons or gourds on the shelf. Is this your home or a friend's?
