That's right, baby. I always thought hoola-hooping was just a can or can't do type of thing, like tongue rolling. Guess I was wrong. I'm really excited about my newfound skill. This is me showing off for Ryan.
What about you? Can you hoola-hoop?
i cannot.
ReplyDeleteI did think it was a do or don't know how kind of thing, though.
There's hope!!!
Haha, cute pic!
Yes I can:) Did you go for lessons or did you just discover this all on your own:)
ReplyDeleteYes I can! I love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd I owe you some pictures of my red and blue kitchen. As soon as I get a chance I will send them to you!
Why, yes! Yes, I can! It's all in the hit, baby. Only took 30 years to learn that.
ReplyDeletei can't...but you give me hope, hehe.
ReplyDeleteI can but I have NEVER been able to do a cartwheel... love the look on the face of the sister behind you, she has probably been an excellent hoola-hooper for many years and can't understand your euphoria!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say the same thing as Emily... love the look on her face!
ReplyDeleteCan't... yet. Also, Divine's dress is so great. I am so excited to go fabric shopping in Korea this fall. Wahoo!
ReplyDelete@Emily--I can't do cartwheel either!! Perhaps that's the next thing I should tackle. So glad I'm not alone in that.
ReplyDeleteI used to be able to hoola-hoop very, very well...as a kid. I was not so hot the last time I tried as an adult.
ReplyDeleteKaty, hoola hooping is genetic. I can do it, thus you can do it. But... can you roll your tongue AND hoola hoop at the same time?
ReplyDeleteKaty, I can do a cartwheel. If you are ever in the Chicago area, stop by and I will teach you!
ReplyDeleteI think I used to be able to hoolahoop, but now maybe I cannot?
Hrm.
i try REALLY hard and like to pretend i'm as good as movin' my hips as my girls are!!! it's really fun and becoming the "in" exercise!
ReplyDeleteAre you doing it at church in that picture? You look so triumphant, I LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteI can't do it to save my life. Maybe if my parents had just bought us one when I was little I'd be an expert.
Here's what's crazy though. We were at DisneyWorld last year, and you know how sometimes they have people with hula hoops to entertain the kids. Anyway, I'm waiting in line to get some food and I look over and there's my dad, KILLING it with the hula hoop. He was amazing! I was so shocked. How could he never have taught me?
And if it's genetic I should be a champion. Maybe I should go get one.
I can hula-hoop when no ones looking...less pressure!
ReplyDeleteAnd that lady behind in the photo thinks there is too much 'hoop-la' regarding a hula-hoop. :P
yes, wanna duel?
ReplyDeleteI thought everyone could hula hoop? You just put it around you and twirl. What's the big?
ReplyDeleteYes, I can hoola hoop, but not as well as my youngest; Eva. She can hoola hoop and remove her sweater as the same time! In fact I might video that and put it on my blog - it's quite a skill :O)
ReplyDeleteYou look like you're having fun!
NO! I can not! HOWEVER, It is funny that you mention tongue rolling because I didn't used to think that I could do that either but it was WITH YOU that I found out that I could indeed roll my tongue. We were 12, at Sister Pinegar's house when I realized I could do it, so I imagine that I just might be able to hula hoop as well. And, now that you have found you talent I may have to try! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE to hoola-hoop! So, are you saying you couldn't hoola-hoop before?
ReplyDeleteWhoohoo! Good for you for finally mastering the art of hula hooping. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughters are so sweet...they have been trying to teach me! That is a great photo!
