I must have a thing for big instruments.
When watching me {un}load the harp,
people often say,
"Don't you wish you played the flute?"
No, actually, I wish I {also} played the cello.
piano...harp...cello {at least they're getting smaller}
What would you choose if you played
an{other} instrument?
I would play the bassoon, not buffoon.
ReplyDeleteCello! I played in the 5th grade and gave up by the 6th, which remains one of the greatest regrets of my life. The cello is my favorite instrument.
ReplyDeleteI actually just picked up the guitar and a whole new set of finger calluses. Good for folksy, bluesy moods.

ReplyDeleteOops, that deleted comment was me (matisse). I just wanted to say that I wish I played the harp. I also love my portable flute.
ReplyDeleteI would love to have piano skills. Triston has shown an interest in it, so he will start next year. There's something special about a boy that knows how to play the piano.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to learn to play the harp. It's such an amazing instrument. And I love cello too, if I were to try anything stringed and bowed, which frankly scares me.
ReplyDeleteI don't play the instruments I have enough though, it's sad!
Saxophone is pretty cool, Ginna!
ReplyDeleteWe want to get Seth started on the cello. I would choose violin.
ReplyDeleteBanjo. Of course.
ReplyDeleteI would try to play the cello, played the violin but didn't enjoy it that much.
ReplyDeleteI'd also like to still have my classical guitar that suddenly went missing.
I always wanted to play the saxaphone
ReplyDeleteBagpipes! In a kilt! Everyone loves a Burly Scott!
ReplyDeleteGuitar, but then you need to be able to sing as well. And I can't do either!
ReplyDeleteRight now, I'm just wishing I had Mom and Dad's piano to play on, or any piano for that matter.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what I would play, but for my girls, when everyone says they'll be playing the piano because of their long fingers, I reply, nah, the harp. Ever since Brian & I saw you play in the old Lakewood ward on Bryan St. we knew we would have our daughter fulfill our dream and play the harp. :)
ReplyDeleteas a soprano, I'm entranced by the vibrations that come from all things bass. So maybe the double bass and the bass pans in the steel drum band.
ReplyDeleteloving your blog.
